The goals came in quick succession, with Agnes Nabukenya setting the tone in the 5th minute. Kamiyat Naigaga showcased her prowess with goals in the 32nd and 46th minutes, while Phionah Nabulime scored a brilliant strike in the 53rd minute. Allen Nasaazi and Shamsa Najjuma added their names to the scoresheet in the 60th, 61st, and 90th minutes, leaving the opposing team stunned.

The thrilling match took place at the Azam Complex Stadium in Tanzania, the proud hosts of the tournament. This win marks Uganda’s third consecutive triumph in the championship, following previous victories over Zanzibar (3-0) and Ethiopia (1-0) on match day one.
