A skilled midfielder named Frank Tumwesigye Zaga has joined newly promoted team Kitara FC on a free transfer.
The former St. Mary’s Kitende Senior Secondary School skipper has chosen to sign a one-year contract with the Hoima-based team that will run until June 2024 after his time with Vipers Sports Club came to an end.
The 24-year-old midfielder joins after leading Vipers SC to the Star Times Uganda Premier League and Cup titles last season, making him officially Brian Ssenyondo’s first acquisition.
“This is a special place for me, Hoima is home, and I already feel welcome here,” he remarked following his unveiling. “I’ll definitely give it my all to assist my new squad win games and remain in the top flight”.
In order to compete with other Super league great clubs next Season, Brian Ssenyondo, who only joined the FUFA Big 2022-2023 Champions at the beginning of the summer transfer window after his contract with UPDFC expired, aims to add more firepower.
Ahead of the 2023–2024 season, Kitara FC, which will play at Masindi Stadium, will make its Startimes Uganda Premier League debut.
