The Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) has received a strong warning from FUFA to avoid promoting the broadcast of the 2023 AFCON qualifier between Tanzania and the Uganda Cranes.

Uganda Cranes is set to host Tanzania in a home game (away)in Egypt at At the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia on Friday, March 28th.

Through their attorney, Ochieng Associated Advocates and Solicitors, FUFA has charged UBC with making false claims about having the broadcasting rights to the match.

The FUFA complained to UBC that their rights were being “devalued” and that this was costing them money.

Notice to UBC TV

The federation has vowed to sue the broadcaster if they continue to promote the match, and they will hold UBC liable for any losses they suffer as a result of their “opportunistic advertisements.”
