Arsenal thumped Crystal Palace to go 8 points clear

Arsenal beat Crystal Palace 4-1 on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium to go 8 points clear of Manchester City and maintain the top spot as the Premier League leaders.

Bukayo Saka’s brace inspired a 4-1 rout of Crystal Palace to condemn them to their fourth straight defeat and their first since the sacking of Patrick Vieira last week.

Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring in the first half at the Emirates Stadium to put the leaders on course for a sixth successive league victory

This win came at a time when Crystal Place had been suffering and had just fired their manager Patrick Viera, and are in search for a replacement with fingers pointing to a potential return of Roy Hodgson in the role.

Vieira was a key member of the last title-winning Arsenal side 19 years ago and Gunners fans chanted his name throughout the game.

With just 10 games left to be played, Arsenal seem to have a chance and look like the favorites to win the league, but with the Premier League, it’s still too early to say.

They still have it all to because anything can happen, especially with an in-form Manchester City chasing them on their heels. City beat Burnley 6-0 over the weekend to advance to the semifinals of the Emirates FA Cup in which they will face off with Sheffield United.
