Uganda Cranes left back Aziz Kayondo joins Spanish side CD Leganes B

Former Vipers sports Club and Uganda Cranes talented left back Aziz Kayondo was on Monday officially unveiled as a new CD Leganes B latest addition to their squad.

CD Leganes in the Spanish Segunda Division confirmed that the left back will be playing for their team B as he continues his development in the Spanish football.


The 20year old left back joins Leganes from Czech Republic’s side MFK Vyskov which he also joined in the summer of 2021 from Vipers Sports Club , though he never played any single game for them.

Immediately after capturing his signature, he was loaned to MLS Next Professional side Real Monarch in USA where he featured in fifteen games netting and assisting once.

Aziz Kayondo will be teaming up with other Uganda Cranes footballers such as Ibrahim Juma who only joined Leganes this year from KCCA FC and Allan Enyou whose services were also recently secured by the club.

Aziz Kayondo, born in Kyazanga Lwengo district was named as the best left back in the 2020 U20 Africa Cup of Nations. He also made the podium for the  nominees for the Airtel FUFA Awards Men’s player of Year 2021.
